Shadow Security Scanner (SSS) scans your network machines for common system vulnerabilities and creates a report of potential problems that were found. The database includes more than 2000 vulnerabilities, and each offers detailed information as well as links to online resources and patches. In addition, the program also retrieves general machine information, open ports, running services, user info, shares and pipes. While SSS is a native Windows application it can audit computers working under virtually any operating system including Cisco hardware. In addition, SSS introduces a modular ActiveX architecture and open API to allow developers and system administrators to build customized solutions based on SSS.
