UltimateDefrag is an advanced disk defragmenter that supports 4 different types of fragmentation along with strategic file placement options that allow you to optimize your hard drive(s) for faster access times based on your file usage. The program is based on the rule that most users only use 20% of their files 80% of the time, so the majority of your drive content lies dormant for most of the time. Using the advanced defragmentation modes, you can specify which folders and files are rarely used and place them on slower tracks of your drive, reserving fast access areas for your frequently used files. UltimateDefrag can optionally find these files automatically based on file properties and access dates that meet your criteria. The interface offers a unique display that allows you to visualize your drive content and see exactly where files and folders are located on the physical disk. UltimateDefrag does not require you to be an expert, but if you are, you will find plenty of configuration options that allow you to customize the defrag process in every aspect.
